[UC1000] IMPORTANT: Advising begins in one week

Dear University College Students,

I am writing to remind you that advising for spring semester 2015, begins next Monday, 10/20, and that registration begins the following Monday, 10/27. As always, you will need to meet with your University College advisor before you can schedule classes. We want to make sure that you are staying on track for graduation and setting yourselves up for success. You should meet with your advisor as close to your advising time as possible. This will allow us to help you devise a schedule that you have a good chance of getting.

It is important that you contact your advisor right away, schedule a meeting that is close to your registration time, and then program that meeting into your phone so that you do not forget. Keeping your advising appointment and arriving prepared are crucial. After all, this is your college education and you need to be in the the driver’s seat. We are happy to guide you along—meeting one-on-one with students is one of the most exciting parts of what we do—but you must be an active participant in the process. We look forward to seeing you soon.
