[OUWC] Fun rows and other important things

Yello everybody!


So there's no official practices this week, but we will do some fun rows just to go out and get some water time in, while we still have the boats. We won't start those until at least Tuesday though. I'll send another email tomorrow when I figure out which days will work best.


Also, we will have our general meeting this week. After this week, our GM's will be bi-weekly since regatta season is over. But they'll all be at the same time in the same room in Porter.


Last thing and I know it's kind of long but please read it! We all know that a dock is something that we desperately need to continue functioning efficiently. Finding the money is where the problem lies, we've applied for funding through student senate and up until now, we've had everyone telling us that our dock case is one that qualifies to be funded through something called UFund, which is through student senate.


This past week though, the president of student senate told us that it doesn't qualify even though we have Dean Lombardi, Jenny Hall-Jones and several other people of authority on our side. With that being said, student senate has meetings on Wednesdays and they have a portion of their meeting where anyone can speak out about something, so we will be speaking out about our dock and why it's important that we need funding for it.


I would like everyone that can be there, to be there. It's at 7:15 on Wednesday. The entire men's team is going as well and if we can get most of our team there too, we'll make quite a statement just with our numbers. So unless you have work or class, we really need to be there. It won't take very long at all, we only get a few minutes to speak anyway.
