[Ouwcrew-l] Halloween Row Itinerary

The last itinerary of the season :(

The HALLOWEEN ROW is finally upon us!

Here’s how the schedule is gonna break down:

MEET AT PING @ 7:30 NO LATER. It always takes us a while to get things organized so be on time. We will be departing at 7:55!!! (7:50 if we can get organized really super fast..)

Races begin at 10:30 AM! Leaving at 7:55 will put us in Marietta no later than 9:00 AM. That will give us about 30 minutes to settle in, warm-up, meet, and STILL have time to launch about 30-40 minutes prior.

As of now, the Novice 8 will be rowing first, then the Varsity 8, followed by the Novice 4! Yay! Marietta’s novices will be doubling up to race the 4, so this schedule gives them time to get on and off the water (and back on in their second lineup).

PS: WE ARE BORROWING BOATS (varsity from Marietta College, and novice from Marietta High School) AND WE ARE BRINGING OARS. PLEASE BE VERY CAUTIOUS WHEN HANDLING THE BOATS SINCE THEY ARE NOT OURS. :)

Weather:
According to weather.com its going to be a WONDERFUL day for racing. The high is supposed to be 63 degrees with, and I quote, “brilliant sunshine.” Winds: 6 mph. Yes, it’s supposed to be 63 degrees, but we’re getting there at 9am, and at that time it will only be 36 degrees. SO DRESS WARMLY. LAYERS! The warmest its going to be when we are there is about 60 degrees.

A Winning Attitude!!
Game Face
A few bucks for your driver (gas $$$)


Directions:

Pretty easy directions:

Take US-50 E/OH-32 E toward COLUMBUS/BELPRE (Go 20.8 miles)

Merge onto OH-7 N toward BELPRE/MARIETTA (Roughly 30 or so miles)

Turn RIGHT onto STONE STREET... This turn will be just before you cross the WASHINGTON STREET BRIDGE!

(At the stop sign) Turn RIGHT onto GILMAN AVENUE (Go approximately 50 yards)

THE BOATHOUSE WILL BE ON YOUR LEFT! :)
