Hi all,

  * Martin has organized three remote discussions for tomorrow. The intent is to give people a chance to try out Microsoft Teams, as well as giving us a chance to discuss some of the issues everyone is wrestling with. Currently we have the following scheduled
     * Digital Accessibility: 9-9:30am Join Microsoft Teams Meeting<https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_MDM1MTYwNWYtZmZjOC00YTkzLTgxY2QtZWFhZDQ3M2NhYzRi%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%22f3308007-477c-4a70-8889-34611817c55a%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%22733c9563-016a-42ca-af88-699616d853ad%22%7d>
     * Online Group Work 10-10:30am Join Microsoft Teams Meeting<https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_NTM3NzliMjYtNzU2Yi00MDk4LThjNmMtOTViNGIwZWFlNjQw%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%22f3308007-477c-4a70-8889-34611817c55a%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%22733c9563-016a-42ca-af88-699616d853ad%22%7d>
     *   Assessment 11-11:30am Join Microsoft Teams Meeting<https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_MTI4YTkyZWUtMzc2Ny00YTE0LTlmNDUtYzFmMTJhMTE5ZDQ0%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%22f3308007-477c-4a70-8889-34611817c55a%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%22733c9563-016a-42ca-af88-699616d853ad%22%7d>
It will be great to see people in everyone's new work environments. Bring a mug of tea or coffee to enjoy...

  * We've also got some discussion boards put up on the Blackboard Site touching on these topics. Feel free to use those. Again, I encourage everyone to look at the Department of Mathematics Blackboard Organization for some very handy resources.

  * At some point, we all will need to revise our syllabi to reflect the changed circumstances, and you should make sure that Tammy receives a copy of the revision. This is very important for department record-keeping, especially if questions arise over the summer. My recommendation is that you allow some leeway in your syllabus to see how the next couple of weeks go. My worry is that people will be too over-ambitious, given that we don't know how things will work.

  * I'm not sure what will happen with summer classes. My assumption is that even if face-to-face instruction is allowed to happen, there will be no one in Athens to take the courses because everyone will have left town. I want to look at moving some more courses on-line if we can do it reasonably.

  * I have been tasked with filling out yet another spreadsheet, this time by the Provost's office. It is beyond my ability to handle this through cut and paste, so I will send a link around to a OneDrive document and see how it works if you each add the requested information. I will send this in a subsequent email, with instructions. TAs do not need to fill this out, as we will handle things through course coordinators.

  * PLEASE remember that we are to be in the building as LITTLE as possible, and that social-distancing should be the rule. It may reach the point where we must shut down common areas in Morton, and limit the hours when people can access the building. Please remember that there are folks who need access to the building who are also in high risk groups. Your choices can affect more than just you, so please act responsibly.

Hang in there, everyone!

Todd
