[Mathregionals] default policy on evaluation committee membership

Hello,

The (Athens) Group I faculty have approved a policy for membership in
their subcommittee of the evaluation committee. Following up on our
previous plan, we are now considering a simple rotation system for Group
II faculty; it may end up applying to regional faculty as well. Although
this policy does not affect the Group I subcommittee, by our Policy on
Policies it must be considered and approved by Group I and II combined.

I am now sending it to you to initiate the formal two-week comment
period, which will end on Friday 3 May. You have the right to call for a
faculty meeting to discuss this proposal; let me know if you desire to
do so and we can add it to the agenda for the faculty meeting on Tuesday.

Although they are not part of our current policy process, I am also
sending this message to regional faculty for comment.
