[Diversitystudiescertificate] Free Screening: Lady Valor at the Athena Cinema

Hello all!


We wanted to make sure you had heard about the screening of "Lady Valor: The Kristin Beck Story" on Thursday November 9th from 7-9 PM at the Athena Cinema on Court Street, in honor of Veterans' Day and Trans Awareness Month! The film follows the story of Kristen Beck, the first openly transgender former U.S. Navy SEAL, and her experiences attempting to live truthfully as a transgender woman after her retirement from the military.


Admission is FREE and there will even be a panel discussion afterwards. We encourage you to attend if you are able, as this film deals with issues directly related to diversity studies. Hope to see you all there!
