Happy week 7 everyone! Here are your minutes from this weeks meeting:


Events:

 

Wednesday 10/9: Tabling will be from 11am-4pm at the Top of Baker to get signature for the Freedom to Marry petition so stop by any time you can! 


Wednesday 10/9: Home Coming committee  will be meeting at 8pm-10pm at 2 Elliot Street. Bring any empty milk jugs you have! 


Friday 10/11: We will be tabling for voter registration at College Gate to get signature for the Freedom to Marry petition from 11am until 2pm. 


Saturday 10/12: The homecoming parade will take place. We are meeting to set up at 8:45am t on West Union. More details to come. The parade begins at 10am


Saturday 10/12: ENDA is having a tailgate to call Senator Portman's office or to fill out postcard across from Peden from 12:30pm-2pm

Saturday 10/12: Alumni Event will be at 2 Elliot street from 4pm-7pm. There will be food and drinks provided. Dress is casual but not too casual. Feel free to wear any OU gear! This is a great place to make connections if you have a career interest in politics! Those connections could even help get you an internship! 


Updates:

Shirts are in so make sure you order one or pick it up. There are only small and medium left. They're only $15! 

Next week is Friend Appreciation week! Bring a friend that hasn't been to our meeting with you (preferably a democrat)! There is an incentive! 



Roundtable:


Wednesday 10/9: Flavor of the week is apple so stop by the Front Room at noon until 2!

Wednesday 10/9, and Friday 10/11: Vox (Voices of Planned Parenthood) will be tabling at the Top of Baker and giving away free condoms from 1:30pm-3:30pm.

Friday 10/11: Fuck Rape Culture is holding a rally and march to protest rape culture. They are meeting at 4pm at the bottom of Jeff Hill. Tops optional! If you are going to go topless, there is a buddy system in place to prevent any harassment since this can be triggering for some. 

Tuesday 11/15: Bone marrow drive at Baker starting ant 10am and going throughout the day. It is just a simple swab that can help save someone's life. 

Wednesday 10/30: Athens Democratic party dinner will be held. More details to come but keep that date in mind!  

The RAs in Scott Quad are doing fundraiser for Epidermolysis bullosa (a skin condition) and you get to pie an RA in the face! Contact Ian Slifcak for details.
