I am emailing to share an upcoming Bobcats Who Care<https://www.ohio.edu/counseling/support/suicide-prevention/bobcats-who-care> Suicide Gatekeeper training on Friday, March 20th from 1-4 via Microsoft Teams.

Suicide prevention is a shared commitment at OHIO. Through our suicide prevention trainings and resources, we equip the OHIO community with the knowledge, skills, and resources to respond with empathy and care when someone is in crisis. In this Bobcats Who Care Suicide Prevention Training, you will:

  *   Understand basic stats/facts about college student suicide
  *   Recognize the warning signs of suicide
  *   Learn communication skills for responding to people in crisis
  *   Practice asking about suicide
  *   Learn where and how to refer

The training is open to any interested student, faculty, or staff. It is also ideal for those passionate about mental health and/or in leadership positions. As an added bonus, Bobcats Who Care can be a great addition to a resume/CV.
