As announced in the Advocate earlier this month, the 2013 American Mental Health Counselors Association's Conference Call for Programs<http://cts.vresp.com/c/?AmericanMentalHealth/db66408883/68010ebac2/5b846286f0> has been announced and proposals are now being accepted for Resilience, Transformation & Advocacy, AMHCA's Annual Conference in Washington, DC, July 18-20, 2013.

Share Your Knowledge & Experience!
We invite AMHCA members, mental health counseling students, and other mental health professionals to present their research and expertise at the only conference devoted entirely to the mental health counseling profession.

Types of Programs:
Three-hour workshop
Two-hour workshop
One-hour program
Poster session

If you are looking for ideas for your submission, you might consider the following:
(Please note that this is not an inclusive list)

 1.  Brain function and neuroscience
 2.  Couples, family, children, & adolescents
 3.  Special populations (e.g., elderly, LGBTQ, veterans)
 4.  Expressive and creative therapies
 5.  Multicultural counseling
 6.  Innovative treatments, skill building and practice
 7.  Ethics
Feel free to pass these suggestions on to others who may be interested in submitting a program and looking for ideas. The deadline for submission is Friday, December 14, 2012, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
