ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, COUNSELOR EDUCATION
Ethics, research and statistics, human growth and development,
counseling theories and group counseling
The Department of Counselor Education is conducting a search
for a full time tenure track position to begin the Fall of 2012.
The position will include teaching graduate level courses and
advising master's degree students in campus-based programs
and in Gonzaga's Canadian Centers. In addition to teaching
and advising, the faculty member will also create a scholarly
research agenda and contribute to the governance and service
of the department, the School of Education, and Gonzaga
University's Counseling Center. The faculty member should
expect to begin to direct a counseling program and eventually
rotate into the Chair of the Department.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision, preferably
from a CACREP-accredited program; demonstrated
experience teaching graduate students in the CACREP
specialties of Clinical Mental Health and Marriage and
Family Counseling; demonstrated experience teaching
core courses that may include: ethics, research and statistics,
human growth and development, counseling theories
and group counseling; record of applied practice in counseling;
licensed or license eligible in Washington state.
