Call for Submissions on Foster Care and/or Adoption- The Family Journal (TFJ)

The Family Journal  is seeking article submissions concerning foster care and/or adoption for possible publication in a special edition of TFJ.

Possible topics might include:
Personal account of foster parenting
Personal account of adoption
Cultural diversity and foster parenting/adoption
How a counselor might best work with these families
Best Practice guidelines for working with children in foster care or who are being/have been adopted


The Family Journal (TFJ) advances the theory, research and practice of counseling with couples and families from a family systems perspective. Research articles include quantitative, qualitative, and evaluation designs. Descriptive articles address current issues, innovative methods, and professional concerns. Other offerings include case studies, interviews, and timely literature reviews. The journal provides groundbreaking, innovative scholarship for counseling researchers, educators and practitioners.

Currently, the TFJ is seeking submissions for a special issue on foster care and adoption.
Please keep in mind that manuscripts should be geared toward the practitioner, and leave the reader with a tool or information that can be utilized with quick understanding.

Deadline for submission is May 31st.
All manuscripts submitted for review are subject to a peer-review process involving members of the TFJ editorial board.
