Hello All,

Please forward this email to all students planning to take the NBCC exams.

 

NBCC is taking four weeks from receipt of application from their financial
side to process approvals by email for exam applicants.  This ends up being
five weeks or more.  Ohio was the first state to use computer based testing.
They have 40 states now using computer based testing and ten more states to
add.  I talked to Shawn O'Brien, the head of that department, and they are
adding people and increased hours into processing, but in the meantime
please tell callers the following.

 

NBCC expects to take four weeks following financial processing of the
payment at NBCC.  That does not include the mail time and deposit time,
which means it will be taking over five weeks on average.

 

Two cases I checked on are:

One applicant: stated mailed 10/5/2009 - received in exam approval process
10/12/09 will be approved by email by 11/13/09.

Second applicant: stated mailed 10/6/2009 - received in exam approval
process 10/14/09 will be approved by email by 11/13/09.

PS        NBCC believes this is a temporary situation, but prior planning
will save applicants from frustrating delays.  Please mail applications at
the earliest opportunity to ensure exam dates desired.
