[Aphio-L] Issue with 10/30 Election (Please Read)

Hello everybody! So normally this would be the super exciting email
containing the results for last night's elections... Each candidate who ran
tonight had gotten more than 2/3 of the vote so technically they all won
but after counting everything we realized that we did not make quorum
tonight. According to our Constitution in order for any sort of election to
take place we must have at least 60% of our Active members present. Tonight
there was only 51%. Next week we will have a vote on whether we want to
uphold the results of tonight's election or redo the whole election the
following week.


Meeting quorum is extremely important. Quorum ensures we don't have less
than 60% of us making decisions that will affect all of us. The decisions
that we make together can have a huge impact on the future of the Chapter
and also affect your own personal experience with Aphio. This is something
to keep in mind considering next week we will be voting on changes to our
chapter's bylaws. We hope to see you all there next week because your vote
really does matter.
