Dear Alpha Phi Omega Bros (including new actives! Congratulations!),

       Below are the minutes... I have started to include a "contents"
section at the beginning of the minutes to briefly

outline what we discussed, drawing specific attention to tasks that we all
have to complete, important dates, etc.!

I also included exec emails both within the minutes as well as all of the
exec emails  (that have all been updated - some new gmail accounts are still
in the works...) in alphabetical order at the very bottom of the email - I
know that many of you still don't know the updated emails.  Also in every
subject line will be an inspirational quote - look for it and be inspired!

Minutes-------

·      Welcome and Congrats to new actives!

o      *Guest speakers:*

§       Alpha Phi Omega visitor from OSU

§       Jane Palmer from ACE

·      ACE member of ISU

·      Coffee hours and game nights possible

·      Sushi Night

·      Pumpkin carving, Valentine’s Day Party, Strouds Run Picnic,
Thanksgiving

§       Representative of the Boy Scouts of America

·      April 30th and May 1st – celebrating 100th anniversary of the Boy
Scouts of America – service opportunity

o      *Membership*:

§       Dual Rush:

·      Making a plan!

·      Being positive!

·      Lots of changes!

§       Plan:

·      275 members currently

·      Signatures:

o      only 80% of the overall chapter

o      Exec board necessary

o      Your family necessary

o      Plus actives to make up the rest

·      Hours: still the same, but one less hour with your big

·      Electing pledge officers at Bid Day

·      Rush:

o      If we need to cap, we would take 90% of applicants, In the fall, we
would be looking to concentrate on taking more upperclassmen over freshman
to ensure retention

o      If capping happens, interviews will be more formal and taken
seriously.

o      If we continue without capping, interviews will be unnecessary and
will not happen.

o      At rush we will be handing out info packets to everyone so that they
can make an informed decision.

o      In the interests of encouraging upper classmen to rush, we would be
having a pre rush/info session at the end of this quarter.

o      Activation will happen within each quarter, so we will not be
worrying about activating in the middle of the winter quarter

o      Dual Rush Vote:
