Dear Alpha Phi Omega Brothers,

          If you did not receive a calendar, there will be calendars
available next week at Chapter.

          Hang your calendar in a place of honor in your room/house! It
contains important information about

          when GRADES are due to J-board, chapter times/locations,
fellowship dates, Red Brick Fundraisers,

          when sign-ins for service are due, letter-writing parties for
Relay, as well as a three-week countdown to
          RELAY FOR LIFE!

          Also - when you look through your chapter minutes - I listed the
exec board emails in blue to facilitate

          communication.

   - *Welcome to the first chapter of Spring Quarter *
   - Sit with family, grab a calendar and dues to Cory…..
      - Service with Gypsy Boody and Snickers Rydalmount
         - Thanks to brothers that went to Habitat for Humanity and New
         Orleans during Spring Break
         - New Service:
            - Athens Behavioral Healthcare (near O’Bleness)
               - Wednesdays, 3:30 – 5 pm; Meet in Morton Parking Lot at 3:15
               - Quarter Long Commitment
            - (Kind of) United Campus Ministries
               - 1st Thursday of every month – 4- 7:30
               - 3rd Saturday of every month – 11:30
            - Calliope Child Watch
            - Multicultural Geneaological Center
               - This Saturday April 10, 2010
            - Reminders:
            - Sign-Ins due the Sunday after the event!
            - 24 hour rule – let people know
            - No texting at service events
            - Appropriate conversation
            - You are in charge of finding rides to a service event –
            call/email Kris and Gaby with problems!!
            - Keep track of your hours!!
            - Please send emails in from past quarter
         - Any hours that Relay sends out can be counted as Service Hours
         Unless you will not be at Relay, and need to use them as your
2 mandatory
         hours!!!
         - Spaghetti for Alax
            - Saturday April 17, school will be hosting spaghetti dinner
            - His teachers have asked for us to donate an OU themed basket
            to be auctioned off at the dinner.  If you would like to donate
            an OU item or money, the basket will be putting together a basket

            - Spaghetti Dinner in Athens for Alax as well
         - Possible spring quarter ideas:
            - Special Olympics
            - Lunch/dinner for Ronald McDonald house in Columbus
            - Project Linus: blankets for babies in long-term care –
            possibly combine with BBB Sewing parties

         - To benefit Athens County Food Pantry
         - Teams of 10 – registration is $10/person – turn in the day of
         - Who doesn’t like to play with watermelons???
         - Testimonial:  It is so much fun!  You get covered in watermelon…
            - Start collecting cans to donate! GOAL: 500 cans!

         - 150 brand new actives – raised over $600 for St. Judes; Combined;
         they did 1800+ hours last quarter!

               - Strouds Run
               - TBA, sometime in May
               - Families in charge of bringing food items like Thanksgiving
               - Fun family competition
            - More family involvement – renaming of families, etc.
               - Every email has account
               - Heads of Families – matriarchs/patriarchs
