This email list is for scholars who wish to participate in an exploratory session to establish a five-year long Mahabharata seminar as a section at the AAR. The AAR defines an exploratory session as a "complete prearranged session that provides a platform for a group of members to announce a line of inquiry new to the AAR program and to seek out others interested in pursuing it further.” The round table discussion will take place at the AAR’s 2019 meeting in San Diego and this listserv is designed to allow us a forum to share ideas about how to proceed between now and November.
