[Studentsenatemaster-l] Important Administrative Accountability Committee Meeting

Hey everyone,


If you are interested in being apart of the Administrative Accountability Committee please come Tomorrow (Tuesday) at 6 pm in the Student Senate office. Where we will discuss the public records request that was sent back to us by OU's legal department. See attached documents.


The basic information that was sent back to us is that President McDavis does not pay his fair share of his retirement contribution to OPERS, and the president  also received public money to cover his property taxes that the IRS claimed he had a responsibility to pay. All of this compensation is on top of his bonus's, his pay raise, his salary, and other benefits.


Given the resolutions we've passed in the past couple weeks i think its important that students come to this meeting to decide the most effective route forward on this issue. I hope to see you Tomorrow at 6pm in the Student Senate Office.

Subject: Administrative Accountability Committee

Hi Dr. Lombardi,
                    Last night the OU student government passed the attached resolution. I've cc'ed members of this committee to this email. We will be meeting next week, but are requesting in the meantime that the information requested be relayed to the appropriate people within the OU administration so that a timely response can be given to the student body and this committee.

Of the three requests for information, I want to provide some clarification as to whats being requested. We want to know if any university employee is receiving a "pickup on the pickup" concerning their contribution to their OPERS retirement plan. i.e. is the university paying for any employees share of their retirement contribution.

The last point concerning administrative  "breach of contract"relates to the dispatch article concerning the residence of our president, and the IRS claim that a potion of the OU contract (that would provide tax exempt status) is not being fulfilled. We want clarification concerning the status of this issue.
