There is a slight (possibly enhanced) risk of severe thunderstorms
Wednesday. Damaging winds are the main threats, but large hail is also
possible. There is also a slight risk for excessive rainfall
along the Ohio River counties. A flood watch may be needed.

DISCUSSION:

A warm and moist atmosphere will be in place through tonight.
A couple of upper level disturbances that will bring showers and
possibly a thunderstorm. The best chances will be this afternoon
and later tonight. Thunderstorms continue early Wednesday, exiting
Wednesday evening. Some storms could be severe. Temperatures turn
sharply colder in the wake of the cold front, with lingering
precipitation changing to a rain snow mix or all light snow.
A reinforcing cold front arrives Thursday night.
High pressure and a warming trend settles in for the weekend.
