...DISCUSSION...

DRY WEATHER IS EXPECTED THROUGH TUESDAY...AS HIGH PRESSURE
REACHES NORTH...FROM THE TENNESSEE RIVER VALLEY.

A WEAK COLD FRONT DOES STREAK THROUGH OVERNIGHT TONIGHT...WITH
LIMITED MOISTURE. SO...MAINLY JUST SOME CLOUDINESS IS FORECAST.

PLENTY OF SUNSHINE IS EXPECTED ON TUESDAY.

A STRONGER COLD FRONT IS TIMED TO WHIP THROUGH HERE...LATE TUESDAY
NIGHT OR EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING. WIND BLOWN SNOW SHOWERS ARE
EXPECTED WEDNESDAY...WITH A FEW INCHES OF SNOW POSSIBLE OVER THE
MOUNTAINOUS COUNTIES. BUT THE MAIN FEATURE WEDNESDAY SHOULD BE THE
GUSTY WINDS AND COLDER TEMPERATURES...NOT THE SNOW.

FOR NEW YEARS EVE...OR WEDNESDAY EVENING...THE LEFTOVER LOW LEVEL
MOISTURE SHOULD BE DRYING UP...SETTING THE STAGE FOR A CLEAR AND
COLD DAWN ON NEW YEARS DAY.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MAY BRING A MIXED PRECIPITATION EVENT
TO THE AREA ON FRIDAY...BEFORE ANOTHER SHOT OF COLDER AIR ARRIVES
IN ITS WAKE.
