Hey everyone,

So OUSAP has extended the deadline for people to apply to be advocates. Below is more information. It is a great experience and we accept EVERYONE: male, female, gender queer- please apply!

It would be a great addition to your resume and you'd be making a difference, I have faith that all STARS members would be great advocates so please check out the attached application!

OUSAP advocates are Ohio University students who are trained in working with survivors of sexual assault, domestic/dating violence and stalking, and their friends and family members. OUSAP Peer Advocates are Ohio University students who are trained in understanding issues surrounding sexual assault, dating/domestic violence and stalking. Peer Advocates work together to increase awareness and knowledge across campus and to the broader community.



Because of the amount of time that is needed to train each advocate, we ask that you complete a four credit hour class in Spring 2013 and are able to commit the following academic year (Fall 2013-Spring 2014) to the program.  You will also be required to attend a mandatory weekly meeting held on Mondays at 8:00 a.m.


As an advocate you will be required to dedicate 5 hours of your week to OUSAP: 3 hours working in the office and 2 in the community.
