Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
In collaboration with relevant academic and support services units, this
Coordinator will provide expanded LTSC support designed to increase
retention and graduation rates of students with an interest in business.
The necessary information, support services and skill development will be
provided to ensure timely progress toward graduation. This Coordinator will
provide comprehensive advising and coordinate programs in support of these
goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Higher Education or related field required. At least
two years of work experience in higher education setting and academic
advising experience. For each year of graduate assistant experience, 1/2
year professional experience will be counted. Ability to teach and plan
programs. Proficiency using campus advising technology and Microsoft Office
Suite. Ability to work collaboratively with LTSC staff of more than 25 and
with representatives from across campus. Possesses strong written, verbal
and interpersonal skills. Well-organized, extremely motivated, and
self-disciplined; and have the ability to keep multiple projects and
responsibilities current. Demonstrated maturity, good judgment and
willingness to work extended hours.

Preferences:
Knowledge of business majors/programs and University of Maryland academic
policies and procedures.
