Can this please not turn into an email war extravaganza? Both sides made their points. All is fair in love and war.

Subject: [Phipsi-l] Flag Issue(s)

It's good to know the history of the flag but that does not address the issue(s):

1.) It does not matter when when started representing the Tea Party, only that it does.

2.) There is still the question of how we are going to explain this to people walking by so they do not misunderstand. How will we counteract the potential to hurt recruitment in the fall? We pride ourselves with accept a whole variety of gentlemen but if we do not address this that is liable to change.

3.) It is not pertinent to put up this flag specifically and there are plenty of alternatives. Why can't we just put up another flag? Why does this have to change?

4.) If you want to put up a American historical flag, what's wrong with putting up a different historical flag?

3.) If we are putting up this flag because we cannot take the little effort it take each day to put it up and down due to weather then we shouldn't at all. I live below that flag pole, if it's that big an issue I can take responsibility for that.

In conclusion, although the flag was a good idea, in the long run it iis not worth the controversy. PC or not, we need to avoid being perceived with any political viewpoint.

Amici,

John A.D. Frederick
