[Ouwcrew-l] Meeting Minutes Thursday 9/9

Rides for Friday 9/10 will be the same as today's.  Meet at the same places and at the same times.  Dress accordingly (remember it's easier to take a layer off than it is to put another on)

CP –for sure dates 9/17-19 and 10/22-25
            There are special specifications for our appearance
                        -Megan will send out a list of specifications
                        -MAKE SURE TO BRING A PIC ID (preferable Driver’s License)

Fill out the Club Sports Risk of Injury form ASAP

Frogtown (9/25)
            Savannah’s HS is going to try to supply a 4 for the four girls who are going (as long as there aren’t any conflicts)

Cbus Crew Classic (10/2)
            Possibly having Novice going as their intro 5k
Maybe setting up a scrimmage with Marietta’s crew team Halloween wknd
            A way to get the novice extra h2o time

Varsity Jackets
            # of ppl getting jackets
            Ordering them now so that there is time to get them
            H2O resistance GORE-tex so that it’s waterproof and warmer
                        Maybe try to get the jackets when the men order them to save on the cost
                        Try to see the diff b/w prices of the jackets that we have gotten before and the other ones
            Colors: black and green
            We’ll let you know what the cost will be as soon as we know

Dues: $75 Varsity
            Dues are due on Thursday September 30TH

Project Sunshine Run on Saturday (9/11)
            3-4 people needing to volunteer
            $25 day of registration
            Sign-in is @ 8-8:30 and ends @ 10 am
            On West States Street parks
            We’ll get credit for Club Sports if we just have a few ppl participate

For the fundraising chair
            Possibly splitting up the fundraising obligation b/w varsity members

Having Secretaries for both teams and take inventory of all of the stuff in the shed since it was broken into over the summer.
            Serial numbers of our engines in case they are stolen, etc.

Team Goals
            Please think about personal goals and team goals and bring them to practice by Monday's practice.

6 Day Practices
            Maybe Sundays
            Coach would like for us to practice on Saturdays (in the morning probably around 9am)  b/c we race on Saturday
                        It will be determined at the next Exec meeting

Swim Test
            Megan will set up a swim test and let us know when.

If you cannot make it to practice, there are a few girls who rowed last year who are willing to fill in so let them know.
