Hey Ladies,

Sorry to keep blowing up your mailboxes about the loft fundraiser, but due to our low numbers I must reiterate our unexcused absence policy. In the code of conduct it says:


III. ATTENDANCE



Attendance is crucial for planned activities to be successful.  It is the responsibility of each member to attend meetings and activities or to submit an excuse to the Secretary.  The Executive Board of Ohio Women's Crew is permitted to highly suggest attendance at functions and hold members accountable for not attending.



A.  Team Meetings and Fundraising Events

1.  A valid excuse must be submitted to the secretary a week prior to the event in order to be considered for approval.



2.  Excuses for fundraisers and events such as, but not limited to community service projects, must be given to the executive board within a week before the given event or fundraiser.  The person needing to be excused must find a replacement as necessary.



a. If a member has signed up for an event and does not attend she will be fined accordingly in regards to the importance of the event to the team as a whole.  The fine will be determined by the Executive Board.



3.  A member who misses a meeting is expected to read the minutes from the meeting she misses.  The fact that a member is uninformed about an event discussed at a missed meeting is not a valid excuse for not attending that event.



In the event that a member has an unexcused absence to a meeting, the member will be charged with $5 dollars for the first offense, $10 dollars for the second offense, $15 dollars for the third offense, and so on.

In the event that a member has an unexcused absence to a fundraiser they will be responsible for paying half of what they would have made if they would have been participating in said event. This will be calculated by the Executive Board.


For those of you who have not given me a legitimate excuse (I understand that many of you have work which is fine), you need to email me ASAP, or we will have to enforce this rule.
