Persuasion - individuals cannot be persuaded if their individual needs are
not attended to, which relates to natural systems, human resources domain,
and transformational leadership. Persuasion also relates to the idiographic
system because individual motivations and needs must be addressed in order
to convince others. Similarly, in order to effectively persuade others, a
leader must be authentic.
Building Community - Building community closely intersects with the
idiographic systems because in order to create a cohesive group, individual
needs must be met. Similarly, though, when a community is built, informal
rules and norms will unfold, and therefore the needs of the group must be
met, which relates to a nomothetic system. Likewise, a rational, structural
system would be a focus simply so that the people benefit and that a
healthy community is fostered. Building a community involves a vision,
which relates to the symbolic domain as well as an open system. In order
for true bonds and loyalty to form, a leader must be authentic. When any
community is formed and people interact, politics will be involved, as
people may seek to obtain power or control within the community (very
cyclical).
