Fashion/Entertainment PR Internship

Los Angeles-based PR agency seeks a few aspiring publicists to work with national fashion and entertainment brands on press campaigns, event launches, and celebrity placement. The internship position will report directly to the Account Executives. This is an amazing opportunity to develop your PR skills under a great team of publicists with experience in music, fashion editorial, talent management, and celebrity events. Are you a recent graduate looking to gain real world experience in PR? Are you a current student looking to build your internship experience working for a dynamic PR agency? Do you love building relationships and developing creative ideas to garner the attention of the fashion/entertainment industry?

Our clients have appeared on the covers of magazines, been featured on your favorite TV shows, and developed collaborations with the most influential celebrities!

Since this is not an internship where you'll be running errands all day and doing busy work, we desire candidates with a strong enthusiasm and passion for working in public relations. The PR Intern is required to work a minimum of 2-3 full days a week and as a dependable member of the team, manage all assigned tasks within that time. We prefer candidates that can make a 3 month commitment.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
*Outreach to editors from regional newspapers and national magazines
*Work with celebrity stylist and wardrobe departments for TV shows
*Pitch stories to online websites and blogs
*Assist with celebrity placements and gifting
*Create trend reports around the season's hottest fashions
*Contribute to team brainstorms, from event ideation to event execution
*Develop detailed  and up-to-date press lists for launch events and seasonal campaigns
*Prepare press kits and brand packages, as needed
*Assist with planning and outreach for Editor Previews, Tradeshows, and Fashion Shows
*Various administrative duties,  as needed per accounts

Requirements:
*Own a laptop
*Reliable transportation
*Must be extremely organized
*Excellent communication skills
*Self-Sufficient with great problem solving capabilities
*Pro-active self starter who takes initiative
*Dependable team players
*Detail oriented with a willingness to learn
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Strong people skills
*Multi-tasking capabilities
*Pays close attention to detail
*Extremely Computer Savvy! Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and the Internet. Photoshop skills is a plus.
*Prioritizing projects and completing them in a timely manner
