Hello everyone,

Just wanted to make you aware of a few upcoming events and offer some additional reminders.

First, for those of you who could not make the All-Council Meeting this past Thursday, I have included the Athens Halloween Safety Information Flyer on this email. Please read this and be aware of the changes in the community this weekend. As always, please be smart and be safe. There are physical copies of this form in the office and we will be handing them out again at council meetings this week, as well as posters about the Greek Spirit Challenge through Athletics.

Second, Alpha Delta Pi sorority is hosting the speaker Alan J McMillan to give a talk on financial independence (flyer attached) on Sunday November 2 in Baker Ballroom at 2 pm. Next, there are some bystander intervention trainings being offered this week and next week for the Halloween season, all at 7 pm in Ellis 116. See the attached flyer for more details.

Finally,  a new student organization called Students In Philanthropy is working to raise $2,019 for the incoming class of 2019, which will be given as awards to incoming students with demonstrated financial need. They will be holding an event on November 14th from 9 am to 6 pm in Baker on the first floor, fourth floor, and Honors Collegium where they will be giving raffle tickets for donations or for having people write letters to donors. Items available for the raffle include an iPad. Please feel free to stop by and support this new student organization.
