Hi OUCTM-ers! For those of you who just graduated, please consider the following opportunity, sent to me by Marcy Keifer Kennedy, the director of the Center for Partnerships at OU's College of Education. It's a great opportunity!
Please contact Marcy directly with questions or inquiries. Please also consider forwarding to people you know of who might be interested. Marcy Keifer Kennedy's contact is keiferm1 at ohio.edu<mailto:keiferm1 at ohio.edu> .
Best regards,
BK

I also wanted to follow-up with you in regards to the math intervention fellowship at Southern Local. I found out that the person does not have to have a math licensure (licensure could be in something else) but would need to be able to…

• provide intervention for Algebra I and Geometry students,
• build good relationships with students
• have great knowledge of the subject area

The hours would probably be 8:30-12:30 M-F. These teaching fellowships are a little different than the ones that support our teacher candidates in buildings for field experience in that they are collaboratively funded GA positions with the University paying tuition and the school district paying the stipend + benefits. It would be 20 hours a week and the stipend would be $9,000. Tuition would be covered but the candidate would still need to pay some general fees. The tuition benefit would be for fall, winter, spring and next summer (2012).
