Education Mini-Conference on April 25, 2019.


Dear OAFCS Members,


We cordially invite you to the 1st Ohio Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary
Arts Education Conference that will take place at The Ohio Union at the
Columbus campus of the Ohio State University on April 25th from 5 to 7 pm.


The main objective of the conference is to start a discussion between
hospitality, tourism and culinary arts educators and industry leaders about
the education needs of the future hospitality industry professionals. We
would also discuss ways to harmonize the curriculums across the
institutions to enable students from secondary and 2-year higher
institutions more straightforward transition to Hospitality Management
bachelor’s degree programs. This activity is directly related to the
statewide articulation agreements and is receiving support from the Ohio
Department of Education.


Additionally, this event will give an opportunity to participants to visit
the state-of-the-art facilities at the OSU, hear about the hospitality
management undergraduate major, minor, and certificate programs, and meet
and collaborate with their peers from other institutions. All attendees
will be provided a fine-dining meal prepared by the OSU students and the
certificate of participation. The registration for this conference is free.
