[Newman-l] Retreat Checklist!!!

Hey all! As most of you know, Spring Catholic Student Retreat is THIS WEEKEND! If you're not going, ignore this e-mail. If you are, WOOOOO! Read up! The retreat is being held at St. John's Retreat House in Logan, OH (about 1/2 hour away). So here are all the answers to the questions that have been burning in your minds.
"When will we leave?"
Good question! We will be leaving from the Parish Center at 6:00 PM on Friday, and will be returning to the P.C. by no later than 12:00 PM on Sunday afternoon. Rides will be provided, and some cars will be leaving late (please let me know if you will need to leave at a time other than 6:00 PM).
"What should I bring?"
Equally good question! You'll need pillows, a blanket, toiletries (INCLUDING towels for showers), any snacks you'd like to bring, games/movies to play/watch at night, a rosary (one will be provided if you don't have one to bring), and a bible if you'd like to bring one. Because of our limited sleeping quarters (there are only about 7 twin beds) bringing a sleeping bag if you have one is also encouraged. We will try not to use the sheets, pillows and blankets already there, so bring sheets to place over the bed if you want (although they aren't necessary).
"Food?"
...Um...not really a question, but OK! We will NOT, I repeat, NOT be serving dinner on Friday. So feed yourselves before we leave. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided on Saturday, as well as breakfast on Sunday morning. And bring snacks! Either for yourself or to share, snacks are encouraged.
"What are we going to be doing?"
Awesome Jesus things.
"What is our theme?"
'My God is not dead'. Check out the song by News Boys of the same name before we go, and you'll be more informed about what we're going to be doing over the weekend.

Please make sure you have everything packed and ready to go by 6:00 PM, we are on a VERY tight schedule and would like to get to St. John's as soon as possible. Also, I would like to ask that you do not bring ANY electronic devices (phone, laptop, ect.) unless they are ABSOLUTELY necessary (you know what qualifies as "absolutely necessary"). Let this be a weekend to forget about the outside world and focus on your relationship with God.
