[Mathregionals] Follow-up

Hi all,

I wanted to follow up on Dean Plassmann's visit. This was basically a big experiment to see how well we can manage a Zoom interface with current equipment. We don't have a really good room set up for this in Morton, and it may be that microphones and audio will be a problem in any hybrid meeting situation. I will try to get a microphone set up like A&S has for CASRHE meetings.

I also wanted to see how interested people would be in some sort of departmental colloquium series where folks from any of the campuses could share research. Vinny Just suggested this as a way for people to get to know what folks are involved with research-wise. Both Athens and RHE would be welcome to participate, and I think it would help people get to know each other a little professionally.

We could try to do this remotely, assuming we figure out a better system for broadcasting (OULN? Some other local hardware? Other ideas? )

Send me an email if it's something you'd like to do, and I'll see what I can do to facilitate. I think it would be great for us to share about our own work.

Best,

Todd
