Minutes

September 9th, 2010


  1.  Call to order: 6:13 p.m.

  2.  Attendance: Sebastian Osorio, Delianny Almonte, Vicente Mira, Erika Rodriguez, Andi Anaya, Anga Welo, Alexa Golinar, Gabriela Botura, Sean Fenstemaker, Alyssa Golinar

  3.  Exec. Reports:

     *   President- Talk to the person he knows about cheap t-shirts. Everyone think up a logo.

     *   Treasurer- Needs to go to the workshop for SAC funding.

  4.  T-shirts

     *   Sean- Brought up the idea of a line drawing as the design.

     *   Tye-dye? Orange/Red/Yellow with bold black lettering.

     *   FUEGO on the back.

  5.  New Business

     *   Weekly meetings

        *   Will be held on Thursdays at 7:00

           *   Keeping the same room unless something changes and everyone will be notified.

     *   BSU Socials

        *   Sebastian will talk to the president.

     *   Salsa Dancing Lessons

        *   Latin Dance Night at Jackie O's on September 17th.

     *   Pot Luck

        *   Date?

        *   Gran Ranchero or Sebastian and Vicente's house.

     *   The Post wants to do an article on Cinco De Mayo

        *   We need to start planning the details as soon as possible.

        *   Get a committee together and begin planning SAC funding.

     *   Guillermo Gomez Peña- Performance artist (Border Bandit)

        *   Find out fees?

        *   Link with Cinco De Mayo

        *   Kennedy lecture is publicly funded and may be able to help with costs.

     *   Find out ways to get LSU out to the public.

        *   Posters, signs, t-shirts, word of mouth.
