The Department of Curriculum Studies is seeking candidates for an Assistant
Professor of Reading/Literacy Education to begin August 2014. Continuous
application review will start December 6, 2013.

Curriculum Studies is a graduate department, with M.Ed. concentrations in
Reading K-12 and Language Arts/Literacy, a Graduate Certificate in Reading
K-12, and a PhD specialization in Curriculum & Instruction. A Graduate
Literacy Specialist Certificate is planned, and there will be opportunities
for the successful candidate to contribute to pre-service programs in the

An earned doctorate in reading, literacy or equivalent by the start date is
required, as is a research agenda in literacy education. More information
