Job Description:     Serves as the Learning Technologies (LT) staff
member
in the provision of e-learning course development and faculty support
services of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT).
Primary responsibilities include user support for the course management
software WebCT/Vista. This includes managing course and user accounts,
providing instructor phone, email and face-to-face support as well as
participating in collaborative support activities with other university
IT and instructional departments.

This position also provides primary support for web delivered content
and online resources used in support of CELT's campus-wide mission.
Responsibilities include web content authoring, design, editing, and
ongoing site maintenance. The staff member also provides a variety of
support functions for CELT seminar and workshop programming.

Responsibilities of this position will require the ability to work in a
team environment as well as independently; be detailed-oriented,
creative, ability to multitask, self-motivated; and have strong
communication skills.


Required Qualifications :    Bachelor's degree in Education or related
field
plus three years experience in the areas of teaching and learning
technology, and web site design / maintenance. Experience providing
instructional design assistance with the application of multimedia tools
and web-based applications.

Minimum of one-year experience working with course management software
(WebCT, VISTA, Blackboard, Moodle, Desire 2 Learn, etc.)


Preferred Qualifications:     Master's degree in learning technologies
or
related field. Experience providing faculty development and
instructional design in distance learning.

Proficiency in web site design software Dreamweaver and Photoshop.

Significant experience in developing and facilitating faculty
development workshops and seminars on instructional technology and
learning theory.

Computer software installation and maintenance skills.

Experience that demonstrates the ability to work in a team environment
as well as independently.

Strong communication skills.
 

Salary :    Minimum $36,686; commensurate with qualifications
