Hi Fellows: You recently received an email about a research project led by Dan Skinner, Ph.D., Professor of Health Policy at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Berkeley Franz, Ph.D., Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Social Medicine at OUHCOM.

Dr. Skinner and Dr. Berkeley are interested in learning about the impact of the Health Policy Fellowship in teaching osteopathic physicians and their professional colleagues about leadership and health policy. They would like to hear about your experiences with the HPF and learn how it informed your thinking about health policy and how the program influenced your professional development.

This study was approved by the Ohio University Institutional Review Board. Names won't be used beyond general identifiers ("a DO in the Midwest," "a Ph.D. in sociology," "a HPF and dean at a College Osteopathic of Medicine in the Northeast," for example).

I encourage you to take part in their study and thank you for sharing your experiences with Dan (skinnerd at ohio.edu<mailto:skinnerd at ohio.edu>) and Berkeley (franzb at ohio.edu<mailto:franzb at ohio.edu>)

As you remember from the HPF, understanding the history and background is a key part of planning the future! Thank you. NC
