[Geog_Jobs] GIS Day Gallery/Recognition

If you have any geospatial science related work, recorded presentation, poster,  map, storymap you could submit it for GIS Day (Nov19th) to the website for the Ohio Valley Chapter, Geospatial Professional Network. They will showcase your submission on their website.


Submission Details:

Deadline: December 8th, 2024

What to Submit:

  *   Static maps
  *   Digital posters
  *   Full presentations
  *   Any GIS-related work is welcome

File Format: PDF preferred (we can convert to JPEG/PNG as needed)

For Video Submissions: If submitting a recorded presentation, please provide the iframe embed code if possible. If unavailable, we can discuss alternative posting options.

How to Submit:

  *   Email: chapter at ovurisa.org<mailto:chapter at ovurisa.org>
  *   Large files: Upload to Google Drive/One Drive and send a share link

Required Information with Each Submission:

  *   Your name
  *   University affiliation
  *   Project title
  *   Short description
  *   Contact information (so we can reach you regarding the license drawing)

Timeline:

  *   GIS Day: November 19th
  *   Gallery Launch: Week of GIS Day, with promotion continuing through December
  *   License Drawing: Week of December 8th, with winners notified shortly after

ESRI License Drawing:

  *   Each participant who submits will receive one entry into the random drawing (multiple submissions welcome, but one entry per person)
  *   Three 1-year ESRI personal use licenses will be awarded
  *   Winners will be contacted with redemption codes

Eligibility: Both students and faculty are welcome and eligible for the license drawing.


Looking Ahead: While I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, we're considering seasonal updates to the gallery post-holidays to create an ongoing platform for students and working professionals to display their work and passion projects.
