The individual selected for this vacancy will be responsible for the analysis and conversion of geographic information to digital data and for the development of a  geographic information database and perform related duties as required.  The minimum qualifications for this vacancy are listed below:


·         Possession of a bachelor's degree in geography, cartography, statistics, civil engineering, or other closely related field and one (1) year of experience in developing and maintaining geographic information systems or computer aided/automated cartography. Substitutions: Possession of a master's degree in one (1) of the above referenced fields may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience. Substitution(s): Additional years of experience using GIS software packages (such as ArcView, ArcInfo, ArcGIS) may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year for year basis. (One (1) year of experience is equated to thirty (30) semester hours or forty-five (45) quarter hours.)
