My name is Venus and I am working for Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. (staff augmentation company) having big list of fortune 500 clientele.

We have multiple opportunities(evergreen need) for fresh graduates (who are US Citizens/Green Card holders/OPT-EAD) in GIS/Geography/Geology with one of our clients in Akron, OH. All the opportunities are 12 months Contract-to-hire. Our client always prefer someone who has either Associates or Bachelors or Master's Degree in either of those fields. All these opportunities are office work only.

Qualifications:

The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following: * GIS experience * Experience using Word processing, spreadsheets and databases * Ability to analyze and QA data. * Strong verbal and written communication * Teaming skills * Ability to multi- task * Problem solving The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences that are preferred: * CAD Experience * Analytical and abstract thinking * Process information quickly * Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Geography and/or GIS or Associates in a Technical Degree.



Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate creation and maintenance of client's East Ohio's (DEO) asset data. This role supports on-going work involving DEO asset data. Role assists in the maintenance of the GIS system, compliance systems, and other databases or software products. Responsible for creating and providing maps to internal/external customers. Responsible for the interpretation of data from original source documents for translation into DEO systems. An example could include interpreting field notes to reflect assets installed or removed during a capital construction project. Contractors are expected to perform work thoroughly, timely and accurately.
