Dear Dr. Perkins,

I am requesting your help as Interim Undergraduate Chair for the Urban Planning program in advertising the availability of a student scholarship from the Cleveland Section of APA Ohio, a Chapter of the American Planning Association. If you are not the correct contact, please kindly put me in touch with the appropriate person.

APA Cleveland is offering one $750 scholarship to eligible students for the upcoming 2014/2015 school year (see details below). Unfortunately, since the Planning program is not accredited by the PAB, students in the program are not eligible for the $2,000 scholarship that APA Cleveland is also offering.

Please forward the attached application to students in your program, your student APA chapter, and post notices of this opportunity in your facility or through your program's relevant social media.
Scholarship applications are due by mail by May 9, 2014 to:

To be eligible for the $750 scholarship, a student:

 1.  Must be a citizen of the United States;  2.  Must have completed at least one year of college level courses;  3.  Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student or enrolled/officially accepted for enrollment as a graduate student in a planning program at an Ohio college or university;  4.  May be a full-time or part-time student;  5.  Must be a resident of one of the following Ohio counties - Ashland, Ashtabula, Columbiana, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Huron, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, or Wayne; and a graduate of a high school located in one of the above counties.
