[Emeritiassoc] Reminder: Emeriti Park volunteers needed

This is just a friendly reminder that we will be meeting at the Emeriti Park on Wed., Nov. 19 to do a bit of gardening. If you are still interested, either let me know or just show up between 10am-2pm.

Here’s a note from Kelam, who will be guiding us:
Everyone should probably bring some kind of work gloves, as the work being performed will be mostly pulling weeds this time around. This includes Canadian Thistle, so gloves will be a necessity. I have weed digger tools that will help dig the various weeds out of the ground to prevent them from breaking off at ground level. I will also have buckets to put the weeds in, and I will park one of our buggies there to dump the buckets in as needed. We can meet here at the garage if you like at 10am on those days to get everything transported down there.  I would let her (Roxanne) know that 12-2 would likely be the warmer period to come, considering we are starting to get some nippy days in the forecast. I look forward to next Wednesday! Let me know if you need anything else! Thanks!

Location of garage: Between the Emeriti lake and Clippinger, or east of the Lake. If you prefer, you can also wait for us by the stone at the W side of the Lake (closer to the Walter Rotunda parking area).

We currently have 4 volunteers for our first gardening adventure.
