Dear Emeriti:



The Emeriti Association is hosting representatives from OPERS and STRS to discuss recent concerns about performance of the retirement portfolios and its management.  The meeting will be on Tuesday March 28 at 1pm in the Baker Center Theater, with a webcast for those who cannot attend in person.



Concerns about OPERS include recent performance of the portfolio, continuance of COLA's and status of its health insurance fund.  Concerns about STRS include recent performance of the portfolio and management issues, which have led to several news reports and a special audit by the State of Ohio Auditor. Attached here, in an impartial manner, are excerpts of news reports and allegations from watch-dog groups.



Please mark your calendars for this event and plan to attend.  Anyone can ask a question from the Theater or from online.  Additional information will be sent in an email at a later date.
