[Eecs_phd] Doctoral Milestone Update - Committee Creation

Hello,

Happy New Year 2026!

Before the break, you were asked to complete the Doctoral Milestone Update - Committee Creation, in short, Milestone 6 form, for all students with committees to declare them.  Currently, only 13 out of 43 PhD students (30%) completed the registration. While many students are not to the committee creation stage, many students with committees have not formalized their committees in the new Milestone system - which will cause them delays as they try to schedule defenses (proposal or dissertation).

All PhD who have college approved committees should declare their committees in the MS forms, see here   https://www.ohio.edu/graduate/current-students/doctoral-milestone-6

Do You Need to Complete Milestone 6 Form? You should complete Milestone Form 6 if any ONE of the following are TRUE:

  *   You have an approved dissertation committee.
  *   You have an approved dissertation committee.
