[Dtwg] [External] Diamondback terrapin nesting in Georgia

 We got our first nest on Skidaway Island, Savannah, GA on April 30, 7 days behind our first nest last year.  One more nest May 1 and 3 more today so we're off and running.

I’m happy to report staff of the Georgia Sea Turtle Center encountered our first nesting terrapins of the season on Jekyll’s causeway yesterday, May 1.
 
  
 
2 alive uninjured recaptures, 1 new individual, 1 dead-on-road recapture.
