Dems Minutes 4/20

Welcome to the new members and welcome to week 4!

Thanks to everyone that helped at the grilled cheese sale, donated items, or
came out and bought a grilled cheese! We raised $200.90! So thank you!!

Thank you also to everyone that attended the College Democrats of Ohio
Conference!

This week was the last week to order a t-shirt and I will be placing the
order Friday afternoon, so if you have signed up for a t-shirt but would
like to get your name off the list. If you do not inform me by Friday, you
will be expected to pay $15.00 for your t-shirt!

Relay for Life is May 21st and its right around the corner! Sign up for our
team! Just go to this website:
http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?pg=entry&fr_id=23472 and click on join a
team. Our team name is the Trotting Donkeys!

College Dems will be serving at Red Brick on May 3 and all the tips will be
donated to Relay for Life. We will be serving from 6-9pm. If you are
interested in serving, you must be there from 5-9pm. So, if you would like
to serve, sign up at the next meeting or contact me at jd312809 at ohio.edu. If
you wouldn’t like to serve, please come out and grab a bite to eat or drink
and support our Relay team!

There will be a food drive for Goodworks this Sunday, April 25 at 6pm. We
will be collecting canned and non-perishable foods throughout Riverpark!
Meet at building 25 room 501!

County party dinner is this Thursday and it’s a great opportunity to meet
local democrats! Rides will be leaving the fourth floor of Baker at 5pm and
set-up shifts will be from 1-3pm and 2-4pm, also leaving from Baker. The
dinner should be over around 8pm.

There was a small presentation on the upcoming primaries which will be held
on May 4! There will be a dorm storm to pass out literature covering issues
that will be on the ballot on Monday April 26 at 8pm. Meet at Front Room if
interested in helping.

There was a Get out the Vote presentation emphasize the importance of
phonebanking. We are asking that you make a weekly 2 hour commitment to
phonebanking on a day of the week that is convenient for you. *The office is
open from 12-8pm Monday through Friday and it is located at 771/2 East State
Street!*

This is the last week to sign up for the D.C. Trip and it will be held on
Memorial Day Weekend. The estimated cost is around $80.

There will be an office open house for Debbie Phillips on Monday, April 26,
from 4-7pm at 771/2 East State Street. If you get a chance please stop in
for a bit!

Take Back the Night march and rally will be Thursday April 22, at 7:30pm at
the back of the Memorial Auditorium.

Round Table:

The Bone Marrow Drive will be May 25 in Baker Center. Contact Marika Bresler
at mb571909 at ohio.edu if you would like to volunteer or if you would like
more information.

Ohio Democratic Women’s Caucus will have an organizational meeting this
Saturday in Columbus. Contact Liz with any questions on this at

College Dems t-shirts are for sale and they are $15.00! You can buy one
after a meeting or contact an exec member if you would like one.
