Year of the Bobcat!!!
 The last 12 months have been an amazing time for Ohio 
University, and our local Alumni Chapter for the DC/MD/VA area!

 1.  Ranked #1 Party School by Princeton Review
 2.  "Party Rock Anthem" by the Marching 110 gets 8.3 million views on YouTube. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZtCZOiZ-cg) 

 3.  Football team wins the MAC East for the 3rd time, and finishes with 
10 wins for the 1st time since 1968, and plays on National TV 6 times.
 4.  Football team has not lost to Miami in over 2,500 days.
 5.  Black Football team uniform reveal video gains national attention. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAOfNEBZbE4)  
 6.  Football team wins their 1st ever Bowl Game in the Famous Idaho Potato bowl over Utah State.
 7.  Women's Volleyball team wins the MAC for the 8th consecutive year and plays in the NCAA Tournament.
 8.  Men's Basketball team wins the MAC Tournament, most wins ever in a season (29-8), and finishes ranked in the Top 25.

 9.  Men's Basketball team beats Michigan, South Florida, before losing 
to N. Carolina in the Sweet 16 (with 200+ alumni watching at Penn 
Quarter Sports Tavern)
 10. Record # of undergraduate applications for Ohio.
 11. Nation's Capital Chapter Alumni Co-ed Volleyball team is the #1 seed in the CAN Tournament.
 12. Over $400 million (out of $450m goal) already raised in the Promise Lives Campaign.

 13. Nation's Capital Chapter Co-ed Softball team wins 19 games (19-2), is seeded #1 
for the CAN Tournament and reaches championship game for the first time 
ever (2nd out of 72 teams)
 14. Ohio Football beats Penn State on National TV.
 15. Football team starts the season 4-0 for the 1st time since 1976, and are ranked #29 in the polls.
 16. "Gangnam Style" by the Marching 110 reaches 3.5 million views on YouTube in 4 days! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSvVwylGtes)  
What's next for Ohio and this Chapter? Stay tuned, because every day is an adventure for a Bobcat!

Nov. 3: Wine Education & Tasting - Paradise Springs Winery
Join us for a wine education experience at Paradise Springs Winery!
 Find out how the entire process of wine-making happens from vineyard to bottle.

 The experience lasts about 60-90 minutes and includes a visit inside 
the historical cabin, a walk to the vineyard, a tour of the tank room, 
production area, & barrel room. A complete tasting of our entire 
flight of wines (including our sparkling Viognier, Aprés) will be poured
 along the way. This in-depth walking tour will take you through the 
life of a grape at Paradise Springs and ultimately end back in the 
tasting room.
