May 7: 2011 Virginia Gold Cup with University Row
UNIVERSITY ROW, the VIRGINIA GOLD CUP
Saturday, May 7th, All Day

The Nation's Capital Chapter is participating in the Virginia Gold Cup for the first time in 2011.

We are partnering with Virginia Tech and expect tickets for the "Tent + Bus" Option to run around $90 each. This ticket offers a pre-event breakfast in Rosslyn, Bus Ride to the VA Gold Cup, Food, Drink and Top Shelf Liquor/Champagne All Day long, Bus Ride return to Rosslyn, and a post-event party in Rosslyn. Oh yeah, there will be Horse Races too!!!

VA Gold Cup sells three kinds of tickets: Tent + Bus ,Tent Only, and Car passes. Tent + Bus tickets provide access to University Row and include round-trip bus transportation from Ballston. Tent-Only tickets provide access to University Row, HOWEVER they do not include admission to Great Meadow. You will need to buy a North Rail Car Pass or other vehicle pass to enter before proceeding to University Row.

We'd thought you'd like to know that plans are well underway for
our 13th annual outing to the Virginia Gold Cup. Eleven Anchor
tents, 60 alumni clubs, and over 1500 patrons will be in attendence.

Once again University Row will have a Best Dressed contest, and "new for 2011" there will also be some friendly inter-school games pitting tents against each other in light-hearted competition. Stay tuned for "rules" and additional information.

Ticket sales are expected to begin by the first week in April and will
conclude rapidly (they have sold out quickly and have had waiting lists
in each of the past several years).

Details to be updated as they are received...
