[CPN] Fwd: Art. 1.1 and the term "taxon" in the PhyloCode; PLEASE VOTE

Dear CPN members,

By a unanimous vote (11-0 with one person not voting), the CPN has approved the changes in the attached document. This version incorporates David M's last suggestion by changing "are used" to "are frequently used" in Art. 1.1 and the glossary definition of "taxon". No one has objected to this suggestion.

This change is fine with me. My preference would be "frequently used", but either of the other two suggestions (often used, commonly used) would be fine with me too. If there is anyone who objects to this change, including those who already voted, please say so. If no one objects, we will assume that the Yes vote (which is unanimous at this point with only one person not having voted) includes this change and correcting the glossary definition of "taxon" as pointed out by David.

I agree with all changes, including those by Michel, except:

Art. 1.1: The last sentence now reads: "However, species, whose names
are governed by the rank-based codes, are used to define clade names in
this code." This could be misread as saying that _only_ species are used
to define clade names. I'd therefore prefer "are
often/frequently/commonly used" or suchlike.

The same sentence occurs in the glossary entry for "taxon", except that
Michel forgot to change "traditional" to "rank-based".

That's all. :-)
