OSCA is passing along the following PD opportunity provided by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Ohio Chapter Education Committee. In recognition of Suicide Prevention Month, their chapter is hosting a free statewide Research Connection virtual talk on Tuesday, September 22 from 12:00-1:30 PM EDT on Zoom.

The virtual talk features Dr. Anna Mueller (Professor of Sociology at Indiana University Bloomington and author of Life Under Pressure: The Social Roots of Youth Suicide). Her research focuses directly on how school environments, academic expectations, and peer dynamics impact student mental health, and what schools and counselors can do to build healthier cultures.
