Position Title: Full-time, Tenure-track Assistant Professor in the School of Counseling and Special Education with a specialization in Counselor Education.

Primary Function: Teaching, scholarship, and service in CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master of Arts Program, with a specialization in preparing clinical mental health counselors.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Teach graduate level courses in counseling, and supervision of practicum and internship.
2. Maintain a systematic record of research productivity.
3. Contribute to the School, College, University, and the Profession through select service activities.
4. Provide leadership in master's level counselor preparation in the program of Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling through teaching, professional service, and research.
5. Take an active role in the recruitment and retention of graduate students.
6. Serve as a consultant to various schools and community agencies in the university service area.
7. Provide leadership to professional counselors.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Earned doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP-accredited program. Candidates who are ABD at time of application may be considered. Degree must be conferred prior to appointment in August 2023.
2. Licensed/Certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
3. Experience as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
4. Demonstrated commitment to scholarly activities including research, publications, presentations at professional conferences, and/or grant writing.

Preferred Qualifications:
Documentation of effective teaching
Experience with CACREP reaccreditation process
Experience supervising counselors in training

Rank and Salary: Assistant Professor.  Salary is commensurate with level of experience.
