Position Summary:
* LPC or LPCC required
* Victim advocacy and trauma informed care training/experience preferred
* Maintain valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability
* Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Federal Bureau of Investigations)
* Must be in good standing with the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and MFT Board
Position Summary:
Trauma Therapist at Hope and Healing Survivor Resource Center (Battered Women's Shelter and Rape Crisis Center of Summit & Medina Counties) will provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered therapy services to survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual violence and human trafficking. Must demonstrate knowledge, sensitivity, respect and empathy with survivors from a wide range of demographic, religious and cultural identities. Responsibilities include:
* Providing trauma therapy services to youth, families and adults impacted by IPV, sexual violence and human trafficking
* Must be available to provide therapy services to survivors at our Akron and Medina office locations
* Facilitates various counseling groups such as sexual violence, intimate partner violence, parenting, teen, etc.
* Complete diagnostic assessments and demonstrates competency in developing appropriate plans for treatment
* Maintains accurate documentation and stat information regarding clinical work with survivors
* Coordinates service plans with other service providers as needed
* Assists survivors in the process of testifying or otherwise participating in court procedures
* Maintain anonymous/confidential record-keeping for all survivors and co-survivor contacts
* Represent the mission and philosophy of the Rape Crisis Center & Battered Women’s Shelter at all times
* Maintain confidentiality of information learned through one’s employment at the Rape Crisis Center & Battered Women's Shelter at all times
* Work closely with allied professionals and all victim advocacy agencies to ensure collaboration and cross training
* Job duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time
Salary range: $45,000-50,000
Hours: 40/week Monday-Friday; some evenings required to meet client needs.
